USDA Laws governing - Transportation of Butterflies Across State Lines

Look further down on the page for a list of butterflies that the United States Department of Agriculture allows to be shipped into your state from Florida. Shady Oak Butterfly Farm holds permits to ship these butterflies into your state.

Butterflies can be 'plant pests'. The Cabbage White is a butterfly imported from England. This butterfly is one reason farmers use chemicals on their plants. Obviously, they are a pest for cabbage farmers!

“Without DNA there is no self replication; but without self replication there is no natural selection. So you can’t use natural selection to explain the origin of DNA, with out assuming the existence of the very thing you are trying to explain” . —Stephen Meyer PhD.
