How exciting! You have received your shipment of live Butterflies. If this is your first time to receive and release butterflies you may be very nervous about what you are supposed to do.
You may be a little scared about even touching the box that holds these precious creatures. Simply follow these instructions. Everything will work out perfectly for your butterfly release.

Why Were Your Butterflies Shipped in Individual Butterfly Release Envelopes?

Your butterflies were shipped to you in individual envelopes to preserve their wing condition and to encourage them to enter a state of dormancy during shipping. If you have chosen an individual butterfly release envelope or individual butterfly release box other than glassine:

Each box has its own special benefits. No matter which butterfly release envelope or butterfly release box you have chosen, simply open the envelope or box to release your butterfly. If your butterfly does not fly immediately, you can encourage it to fly by slipping your finger underneath its legs. Simply lifting it into the air will encourage it to fly..

If your butterfly lingers on your finger or returns to you or another person at the release;
