You may also buy Butterfly Caterpillars of different species of at ourButterfly Caterpillar Page. If you do not want to raise the Butterflies from Eggs or Caterpillars you may simply buy Butterfly Chrysalises from our Butterfly Chrysalises Page.

Butterfly Caterpillar Kits

Shady Oak Butterfly Farm offers a wide range of Caterpillar Kits. Our most basic and least expensive is the Painted Lady Metamorphosis Kits. They begin at $7.00 and from that kit you can raise 3 Painted Lady butterflies! Everything is provided. Lots of enjoyment and very good for science projects. The next set of products we carry are Small Butterfly Vivariums and Large Butterfly Vivariums. Shady Oak Butterfly Farm also make a Butterfly Garden Baskets. These Baskets are great for gifts for the nature lover or simply someone who is tried of the same old 'Flower Bouquet'. These Basket come with Butterfly Chrysalises and Caterpillars with their host plant. The Butterfly Garden Basket comes in 3 sizes so you can release 3 to 7 Butterflies. Butterfly of the Month Club

Shady Oak Butterfly Farm has something for the dedicated hobbyist who would like to raise as many different Butterfly Species as possible. We call it the Butterfly of the Month Club. How this works is your first order is for the 'Original Order' this means it comes with a Butterfly Caterpillar Rearing container that is reusable. You will also get 1 or 2 caterpillars with their Host plant and Instructions. Each additional order you will order the plain 'Butterfly of the Month' order.
